Caribbean Flamingos in Puerto Rico

It is the only flamingo that naturally inhabits North America.  There are two areas where they are seen.  One is at the salt flats in Cabo Rojo.   As the salt water evaporates, it turns purple and flamingos eat the shrimp left in pools.
The other area in north near Hatillo.  The specific area isn't spoken about so the birds are left undisturbed.
