Puerto Rico Fruit Vendors

When you travel around the island you'll see fruit vendors at the side of the road. Sometimes these folks will have plenty of nice goodies available. I love the variety of fruit available in Puerto Rico. In New Orleans, I remember buying a mango the size of a hard ball and paying $1, and buying papaya the size of a cantaloupe. In Puerto Rico, mangoes grow to the size of a cabbage, and papayas grow to the size of watermelons. There is fresh fruit year round.

Rincon Puerto Rico Domes Beach

This is the view from the renovated light house in Rincon, Puerto. There were enough waves to keep surfers entertained. Whenever I get close to Domes, my cell phone stops working. Radiation? Bad connection? Hmmmmm.

Rincon Puerto Rico | Art Gallery Blog

Puerto Rico Art Gallery

This week we launched the Secret Garden Art Gallery Blog.   Roberto's paintings are the first few, but we're going to put other artists there as well. We're repainting and touching up the art gallery these days, but with all the rain we have to wait.

Puerto Rico

Tropical Storm

This is an image from the National Huricane Center. Classes were suspended today. There are reports of 15 to 30 inches of rain in areas. There are some roads flooded; blocked by mud slides and vegetation. Today is a great day to stay at home.

Steps Beach, Rincon PR

Rincon Puerto Rico, I took off work and went snorkeling at Steps Beach. I just bought an Olympus Stylus 850 waterproof camera and I was dying to try it. I got into the water a little late, so it was a bit murky. I took about 240 shots, but only a dozen of them came out okay. It's hard shooting in the water when it's in constant motion.
